Lovelovelove :D. Harry's an oddly filthy little ingenue once he gets into it.
Being a long-time lover of Georgette Heyer, anything in this era makes me go GLEE, and this did not disappoint, particularly with all the Gambling Hells and suchlike!
Also, oh my, the kink was Quite Lovely, particularly given the era :). Complicated leather-strapped chastity device for the win. I imagine that horse tail was difficult to get, too, hee.
I'll admit that Snape's early declarations of a deep and passionate love didn't quite gel with me for how the story had developed so far (or he'd been doing an awfully good job of keeping it under wraps), but it did suit the *type* of story (Darcy falling for Elizabeth first, Heyer's heroes being rebuffed Due To Circumstance by a Distressed Lady) so I can't be *too* bothered by it.
Love Harry's lack of awareness - seemingly unfeeling (yet such a romantic!), but figuring it out almost too late.
I believe this may qualify as a "romp" :). Loved it.
