What a beautifully written, nightmarish depiction of ruthless and uncontrollable magic. Very scary, too. There really didn’t seem to be anything Harry could have done to change the outcome after this: Staggering beneath the onslaught, Harry, like all great wizards, teeters on the pinnacle between Light and Dark. *shudders* Unless thinking about Snape was somehow ”wrong”? It felt like magic had put him under the Imperius curse. And to be honest, that’s not the kind of scenario I would usually enjoy - taking away somebody’s free will - because it makes them uninteresting, but the overpowering magic in this story is too fascinating to just ignore, even though Harry becomes its helpless victim. Also, I think it’s quite ironic that Molly’s unexpected behaviour sets the whole thing in motion. I enjoyed the provocativeness enormously.
