Snarry-a-Thon21: Week Two Wrap-Up
We're a little over halfway through this year's fest! Thanks to everyone reading and commenting. The authors and artists really appreciate it!
Also, we're looking for recs! And if you want to let us know that you've recced any Snarry-a-Thon fic or art on your journal in an unlocked post or on Tumblr, comment to this post, or drop us an e-mail at the mod email (spfestmod@gmail.com). Anything that collects enough recs will be forwarded to the newsletters and all recs will be forwarded to the authors/artists. Thanks!
Lastly, a quick reminder: please joinsnape_potter to see all of our fest entries.
ART: •Pitidaka - NC-17, NSFW Summary: As Garrison notes, acrobatic sex doesn't necessarily equate to pleasurable sex. The Piditaka position is a comfortable, laid-back position that has the benefit of being incredibly pleasurable. In this position, your partner lies on their back and pulls their knees into their chest, resting their feet on your chest as you kneel in front of them. With your knees on either side of their hips, you raise their hips onto your thighs and enter them. LJ, IJ, DW, AO3
•Fairy Dust Allergy - G, SFW Summary: On his path through the forbidden forest to collect ingredients only found by moonlight, Severus crosses paths with a tiny, annoying fairy who is inexplicably enamored with his huge nose, much to Severus' chagrin (and fairy dust allergy.) LJ, IJ, DW, AO3
MUSIC: •Bach’s Cello Suite in G major, Prelude - G Summary: This is a companion piece to “Bach’s Cello Suite in G major.” It is literally the cello suite, glitches and all, as played by Severus as he serenaded Harry, the morning after Harry’s arrival. It was played with plenty of heart, soul, and a wee too much caffeine. He meant well. LJ, IJ, DW, AO3
FIC: •Rushed Reactions - G, 5,700 words Summary: A trio of Hogwarts students take on investigating a possible relationship between two of their professors after they see an article in the paper. LJ, IJ, DW, AO3
•Kindness Soothes the Troubled Soul - PG-13, 1,600 words Summary: Severus Snape left St. Mungo's physically healed, but with extensive emotional anguish. Many come together to anonymously soothe his soul, showing him the kindness he sorely lacked. LJ, IJ, DW, AO3
•Lost and Found - NC-17, 38,826 words Summary: Harry only has one New Year’s resolution: to move on from his life with Severus. The only thing Richard wants is for customers to stop disturbing him so that he can be alone with his books. LJ, IJ, DW, AO3
•The Sheltering Trees - G, 7,800 words Summary: Severus meets an unexpected resident of the Forbidden Forest while harvesting potions ingredients. What’s this about an acromantula infestation? LJ, IJ, DW, AO3
•A Transaction - PG-13, 6,485 words Summary: Harry returned from King's Cross and defeated Voldemort. But there was a price to be paid. LJ, IJ, DW, AO3
•Hawthorn Branches in Spring - PG-13, 37,500 words Summary: Harry returns to Hogwarts to finish school properly and sit for his NEWTs. He doesn't expect Snape to be back teaching, nor their old animosity to resurface. When it is pointed out to him that he is responsible for it, he sets out to change their relationship for the better. The results have more of an impact on him than he expected. LJ, IJ, DW, AO3
FIC & ART: •The Potters - NC-17, 7,200 words Summary: Severus discovers he has, in fact, not died, and neither has Harry. He had accepted his fate—dying to protect the boy he loved, even though his own demise was inevitable. Their mutual survival did not feel like a blessing…but a curse. Now Severus would have to watch as Harry lived the life of a hero—adored, worshipped by many. Many far more desirable, tolerable, beautiful than Severus ever would be.
Severus thought he could live without him, and maybe he could, especially with all the ‘Potters’ just waiting to be ravished.
That would be enough. It had to be enough. LJ, IJ, DW, AO3
If you missed something from week one, you can find the wrap-up post on DW, LJ, and IJ.
We'll be back on tomorrow with another week of entries!
