Dear Snape100 community,

It's been a rough few weeks for all of us, including your mod, who is an essential healthcare worker. And it's clear everyone here is busy, too, since the last few challenges have gone unanswered.
As a result, I'm suspending new challenges for about 3 weeks until (hopefully) things calm down for us all.
Do feel free to answer any of our previous challenges in the interim, and PLEASE stay safe during the pandemic. ♥

Hello, all!
Alisanne here. As BethBethBeth indicated in her last post, I shall be assuming modly duties for Snape100.

First, let me say thank you to Beth for her many years of faithful and steady prompting. She's provided us with wonderful Snapely inspiration and we love her for it. :)

Challenge #444: "Clean Slate"

I imagine this is a pretty self-explanatory prompt. Also, since the prompts list goes all the way back to 2003, I hope you'll forgive me if I inadvertently reuse a prompt on occasion. I'll do my best to stick with the current prompt posting day and time.

(Remember: drabble posts now appear on livejournal and insanejournal and dreamwidth.

Also, remember that if you're an artist who would like to offer a drawble instead of a drabble, feel free)

*As I am at a con (Lubricus), I don't have access to my regular computer, therefore once I'm home I'll load and start using the appropriate community icon. Please forgive. :) And...done!

Hi folks!

As of today, the new Mod of snape100 (currently in its ninth year!) is alisanne. Please welcome her as she takes the reins of the drabble/drawble community on livejournal and insanejournal and dreamwidth.

(thanks to all the wonderful people who wrote to offer their mod services)

And as for me...I've had a great time as Mod. Thanks for being such a great community.

snape100 was created in December 2003 (thanks to scribbulus_ink), and has been in my modly hands since January 2006, i.e., over 5 1/2 years now, with challenges posted (apart from a few exceptions) every single week, and...I think my time running snape100 has come to an end.

So...here's what I'm going to do:

I'll post a challenge later today and then another one next week. During that fortnight's time, if you have an interest in taking over the modding duties for the community, send a note to me at bethbethbeth [at] gmail [dot] com, including links to the following:

*LJ/DW/IJ accounts (you need to have access to all three journaling sites to mod this commmunity)
*one or more archives that house your fic and/or art and/or meta
(note: if you aren't a creator of fanworks, you'll need to provide links to any communities/fests/etc you've modded/co-modded)

If there are experienced people willing to take over the modding duties, I'll be happy to pass over the reins to snape100 sometime in the next two weeks.

If there aren't any experienced community members interested in taking over the modding duties, that's fine too. I'll leave the community as it is (...if folks want to post random Snape-related drabbles/drawbles, that'll be fine), but no new challenges will be issued.

Either way, it's been a pleasure acting as the Mod for snape100.
