"I'm Gemma," said the woman, leading them into a tastefully decorated lounge. "You're the first ones here except for Aunt Mary Maria."

"She's still alive?" Severus hesitantly accepted a cup of something sparkling. "The last I heard she'd been in hospital."

Gemma held out her hands for their jackets. "Did you really think she'd let that keep her from coming? Says no one else can make a proper jelly, even though hers look - "

"Decayed," said Severus, smirking.

Remus nearly spat punch. "Decayed? A jelly?"

Gemma snickered. "You didn't see what she made for Halloween two years ago."
