Severus was about to ask her what she wanted him to do, but that smacked of condescension. Worse, she was right. They were both adults, both of an age to take responsibility, and it was high time he acted accordingly.
“Give me that magazine,” he said at last.
“Are you going to use for explosives?” Septima could not keep the bitterness out of her voice. “Feed it to the kelpie? Shred it for garden mulch?”
“No.” Severus tore out the checklist and obliterated the remainder with a snap of his fingers. “I’m going to do my share of the work.”
