The Pocket Guide to Chinese Astrology was a slim, densely written book with small, poorly kerned type. Severus had to enlarge the text to read it, and even then he had to go back over each paragraph to make sure he understood what he was reading.
He’d gotten about one chapter in and was about to retire for the night when Septima arrived with a pot of hot chocolate “to settle us down for the night.” He smiled, grateful for her quiet presence, and drank.
“Chinese astrology?” she said, leaning over his shoulder.
“Review book,” he said, kissing her fingertips.
