“Better question,” said Poppy Pomfrey. She waited for Xiomara to stop coughing before giving her an anti-phlegm potion, then handed Severus a dose. “Why was the race partially underwater? The merfolk are up in arms!”
“Rightly so.” Septima, who’d arrived with dry clothes and Severus’ shaving kit, waited until he’d stripped off his ruined robes. “How would you feel if disruptive teenagers crashed the Queen’s wedding breakfast?”
