Note: this is another Motherless Child series, wherein Snape and Lupin marry and have a child. Their son, John, is now about fifteen.
“The direct approach” involved a great many Floo calls, owls, and even Muggle emails and texts once Remus managed to get his modified smart phone to work (John was the only one of them who had any gift for electronics, and of course he was visiting friends in an area with limited Floo). Severus stayed out of Remus’ way except to shove food and drink under his nose – he knew his limitations – but he was happy to contact his fellow apothecaries about upcoming events. They in turn contacted friends and family, and by the next morning all was in place.
