Brainstorming yielded little; the new vote had come up so suddenly that the Remain faction had been completely unprepared. Hermione was trying to find a legal way to delay the proceedings, while Harry was calling in favors from all and sundry, but matters were moving almost too quickly.
“The worst of it is that if we sever relations, Father loses his medical care. He’s been seeing a specialist who apparates in from London, but of course that will end if we leave.” Draco shook his head, despairing. “I’ve tried talking to Mother, but she won’t listen. She’s determined on revenge.”
