“What vote?” Maggie’s eyebrows flew up almost into her hairline. “Wizexit is all over the news! How could you not know?”
Severus gestured at the morning paper, which obediently unfurled itself. He had been flat out all day finishing the grading before spring hols, and it was just as well. One look at the giant headline proclaiming WIZEXIT! VOTE COMING ON SEVERING RELATIONS WITH CONTINENTAL WIZARDRY! and he would have been in London lecturing Shacklebolt instead of doing his job. “My God. Are they completely mad? This would be catastrophic!”
“I know!” cried Maggie. “Does Remus know?”
“I don’t know.”
