“Cuthbert?” Severus asked at last.
“Good heavens.” Binns floated into a seating position behind what had been his desk. His face was a much paler gray than usual. “I haven't reacted that badly since the Abdication Crisis.”
“There's no need to apologize.” Severus drew up one of the side chairs and opened his girdle book. “Having the Snatchers infiltrate a harmless social club is not an everyday occurrence.”
“Unfortunately, there is nothing I can personally do, being tied to the school, and - “
Severus wrote down a series of equations. “Perhaps there's a solution.”
