Severus had never been part of the Slug Club despite his obvious brilliance, and he had never gotten over it. This edition, though, were colleagues, not rivals as they worked together to create the sweets line: the Greengrasses refining the flavors, Ginny Weasley finalizing the recipes, and Harry Potter agreeing to pose with their official mascot, a giant slug bred by Hagrid specifically for the purpose.
“They're different,” he said to Filius during the ceremony where the Slug Club ceremoniously presented the first installment of the proceeds to Minerva. “They can work together.”
“They certainly can,” said Filius.
