“I – forgive me, Professor, but I'm not quite sure I understand.” Hermione Granger blinked down at the syllabus in her hands. “You want me to tutor the remedial students?”
“All of them except Longbottom. Miss Lovegood is more than capable of doing that.” Severus clasped his hands on his desk blotter. “Miss Weasley, her brother, and Mr. Potter will be given special assignments, since all three have mastered their class material well enough that the remedial course will be an utter waste of time.”
The girl tensed. “Special assignments?“
“Nothing lethal or dangerous, I assure you.”
