Note: this is yet another Motherless Child drabble series, wherein Snape and Lupin marry and adopt a young werewolf. Their son John is about 14 in this one.
Remus looked at the sleeping youths – all in sleeping bags on the floor of Johnny's bedroom, all dead to the world – then stepped in the hall and closed the door.
“All well.”
“Good. At least now they won't be on the phone since they can actually speak to each other.” Severus looked grim. “The adults are not handling this well.”
“So much for 'marry your teenage sweetheart and live happily ever after,'” said Remus. “Any word?”
“Draco filed for divorce. Astoria objects. Nothing from the Potters yet.”
“God.” Remus sighed. “Bed?”
“Oh, yes.”
