Note: this is yet another Motherless Child drabble, wherein Snape and Lupin marry and adopt a young werewolf. Their son John is about 14 in this one.
“What is that beeping noise?” Severus emerged from the stillroom, goggles slightly moist from condensation. “John? What are you doing?”
“Checking my phone.” John, long and lanky thanks to a growth spurt, frowned at the small device in one hand. “Cousin Gemma's having a party next week. Can we go?”
Severus found the boy's obsession with electronics charms bewildering, but then again he was a Ravenclaw. “She sent you an invitation?”
“No, it's on her Facebook page.” John pointed at the screen. “It's a great way to keep in touch with the Muggle side of the family.”
