He'd blown up three more cards when a shadow fell across the card spread. “Was ist - my pardon. Do you play snapeexplodiert?”
Johnny paused in the act of laying down a Welsh Green. “What?”
“Snapeexploidiert.” The girl was short, slightly plump and wore glasses nearly as thick as Uncle Harry's. “The cards, they go ka-boom, ja?”
“Who are you?” Johnny scowled. He'd been perfectly fine by himself.
“Oh! I forget myself.” The girl clapped a hand to her lips. “I am Angela Schauffhausen. Mama and I are here to visit London. What is your name?”
