Severus cracked an eye open as a small, soft hand patted him vigorously on the face. “Dada!”
“That would be correct,” said Severus. He yawned, sat up, and pulled John up onto the sofa next to him. The baby had begun to walk, at least after a fashion, and it wouldn't do to let him wander off somewhere else. “Not the hair, please.”
“Did you have a good nap, love?” Remus came to sit next to him. “It's nearly tea time.”
Severus leaned back at him, rested and content. “It was satisfactory.”
