Challenge: holiday drink

Notes: this is a Motherless Child fic, wherein Snape and Lupin marry and adopt a young werewolf. Also, the drink recipe is something called “Aristocrat's Punch,” and dates from early in 1942.
The odd thing was that Severus was right: the punch was delicious.
Highly alcoholic, which was why Severus prepared a double batch of Sobering Solution and put the decanter next to the Floo, but delicious. Sweet, rich, and perfect with the cold roast beef that was the main dish for their guests – it was practically perfect.
Remus came up behind him, John on his hip, as he scattered thin slices of orange in the dark, sparkling liquid. “Ready, love?” he murmured.
The fire flared to signal a incoming visitor. Severus smiled, just for a moment.
“I think so.”
