I am honoured by your invitation to the naming ceremony for your son. I must confess, however, that I am somewhat surprised by the invitation. I doubt your parents would welcome me with open arms, not to mention the rest of the guests unless you've suddenly developed a taste for Potter and his fellow Gryffindors.
If you believe I could attend without disrupting this all-important occasion in your son's life, I will of course attend. I will not, however, ruin the day for your family or your child.
Please advise.
