“He will not be in his House at all times, dear lady,” the Hat said at last. “You'll have your opportunities to speak to him.”
“Perhaps.” Helena's hand stayed on the ever-raw wound that had killed her. “Perhaps not.”
What could the Hat say? The Baron might have repented, but Helena still avoided him as much as possible, even now. “If anyone can overcome the House system, surely it would be the patron of intelligence. He's a clever lad, Mr. Snape. He'll find his way to you.”
Helena smiled slightly. “I pray you have the right of it.”
