He beamed at the sbewildered audience, gestured at the ghostly kazoo players, musical saw experts, and krumhorn virtuosos, and beat a four count. The musicians broke into what was probably intended as “Begin the Beguine” but sounded more like kneazles being skinned alive. The wine bottles and silverware cowered in self-defense.
“Dear God,” said Poppy in a stunned voice. “I didn't know he could leave the school.”
“Neither did I,” Severus ground out, and wished he could finish decapitating the ghost.
