Severus was in the middle of grading when the fireplace coughed out a cloud of filthy smoke. Severus cast a Bubblehead charm about himself before he could do more than take a single breath of contaminated air. There was a bang, a burst of extremely bad language, and then Peeves tumbled onto the rug, the Baron drifting after.
“I was joking! It was a lark!” Peeves flew up to the ceiling and cowered under the boss depicting Umberto the Ungraceful.
“You need to be reminded of your place,” said the Baron, and Severus could not suppress a grin.
