“Samples from the White Cliffs of Dover?” Pomona eyed the vial of contaminated minerals. “Some of these plants don't do well with chalk.”
“I'm aware of that,” said Severus, scowling. He would have taken his treasures home and experimented in the tiny garden behind his parents' two-up, two-down, but building a suitable greenhouse would have attracted notice. “A sprinkle or two will do no harm.”
“Potentially.” Pomona murmured a charm and waited as the spell light stabilized to a light, clear blue. “We can start with the chalk-loving plants and go on from there.”
“That should work.”
