“If one counts terrified students spending as little time as possible away from their Common Room a ‘success,’ it is most useful.” Severus could not help glaring at his mentor. “Otherwise, the answer would be a resounding ‘no.’”
Albus frowned. “I’m sorry to hear that, Severus. Did I not show you all the modifications?”
“Modifications?” Severus drew himself to his full height. “Short of disabling that damned whistle, I see no possible way - ”
“You’d be surprised,” said Albus.
