Excerpt from analysis of the prototype Deluminator by Severus Snape, spelled to be visible to his eyes only:
...the Deluminator is, of course, perfectly crafted. I expected no less from Albus, but it is nonetheless good to see that even a preliminary version of one of his works does what it purports to do with no problems.
That said, the arithmantic calculations necessary to modify it in accordance with my plans are, to put it mildly, complex. Whatever his flaws, Albus was more than competent as an enchanter, and it will require all my own skill to alter his work....
