Sinistra only required three bottles of wine in compensation for taking over the House for a weekend. That was cheap compared to the cost of a portkey, but Remus' mother sent them tickets to Duluth and apparation coordinates to the school.
Now they stood inside Remus' old faculty bedroom, which was slated for renovation. Severus watched as he sat on the smallish bed, bouncing slightly to test the mattress. The wallpaper was a faded beige, and the furniture had tooth marks on the corners.
"It's so small," Remus murmured. "I'd forgotten."
Severus sat down beside him. "We'll live."
