Hermione, ever curious, insisted on writing to Ars Apothecaria to ask about the letter and its writer. Ron insisted that she write under a pseudonym to avoid the appearance of impropriety, not that it mattered since the editor was a Slytherin who was equally curious.
The letter had originated in a small town in western Michigan. Hermione was a bit surprised, but the postmark was authentic, and the nearest Wizarding community confirmed that a skilled apothecary had begun to sell medicaments through the local compounding pharmacy.
Now she had to find a way to justify a trip to Michigan….
