The giant castle looming above the city was the oldest seat of the Prince-Archbishops, but there was more magic in the dazzling Baroque palaces by the Salzach River. Severus used his free day to explore the cathedral, the water gardens at the pleasure palace of Hellbrunn (watching Muggles squeal at being splashed was most amusing), and the gray and silver decorations at Schloss Mirabell.

He had finished his meditations when he heard a familiar squeal.

"Daddy! Look at me!"

"Teddy! That statue is - oh, bugger!"

Severus disapparated before Lupin could explain the damage to the guards.

Summary: Speaking at a prestigious conference is an honor, but listening to the other speakers can be tedious. Good thing Headmaster Snape brought his Harry with him.

“Se’vus!” the man at the news stand greeted him.

Severus’ heart stopped beating for a moment. “I beg your pardon?”

“Se’vus!” the man repeated.

“Do we know each other?” Severus snapped. He peered at the man but could not remember him. Had he come all the way to Vienna to be left alone, only to be recognised by random people on the street? (And did they have to butcher his name so horribly?)

“Servus,” said the man impatiently. “Ja?”

Severus turned to leave and found himself suddenly face to face with the famous Harry Potter.

"Servus!" Potter grinned.

Enough was enough. Severus fled.
