"Severus?" Poppy's eyes widened at the sight of her colleague leading a short, muscular creature on a leash. "Why do you have a wombat?"

Severus closed his eyes for an instant before replying. "One of the students botched a portkey and ended up in the suburbs of Canberra, Australia. Albus sent me to fetch him, and he insisted on bringing this."

The wombat made a small, annoyed grunt and began to groom its claws. Severus glared down at it. "Of course Potter can't be bothered to feed or walk or his exotic new pet, so 'Dudley' is now my responsibility."
