"You're certain the boy has a crush on you?" Minerva watched as her friend poured himself a finger's worth of single malt.
"Of course. It's obvious." Snape stared into the distance. "I didn't have the heart to tell his father. The Notts are purebloods, after all."
Minerva sipped her own drink. "It's not rare, crushing on a teacher, even one of the same sex. After all, you are the only man on the faculty who's under forty."
Snape made a noise. "The question is not whether Nott is infatuated. It's what I do next."
"That's an excellent question," said Minerva.
