"It's not funny!" Severus glared out the kitchen window. His mother-in-law - mother-in-law! - had put in a garden of what purported to be organically grown, spell and elf free vegetables. Of course the local fauna had eaten most of the beans, and the lettuce had run amok and invaded the grass, not that Maggie seemed to care.

"No one was laughing at you." Remus sounded bewildered at how quickly watching a documentary on telly had deteriorated. "We were laughing at the ridiculous clothes. The safety pins - "

Severus' cheeks burned at the memory. "They kept the rips together."
