Why?

I like stories when Harry and Severus don't do anything to fall in love. It just happens, and one day they wake up and they've been sleeping together and living together and planning holidays together, and they just are. But acceptance does not mean forgiveness, and the course of true love never did run smooth ;)

Why?

The fic that brought my object penetration kink to the fore. Deliciously dirty, featuring too-naive!Harry, bastard!Snape, and looks-nice-but-is-really-a-bastard-of-the-first-order!Lupin.

Why?

One of the best superpowered!Harry I’ve read, though not without its problems. Though quite different from canon!Harry, Harry is quite attaching, and his relationship with Snape builds believably.

Caveat lector

The main problem I had with it was the numerous plot twists, which make the fic a veritable angst-fest. With a lesser writer, I probably would have abandoned the fic midway, but Philo does manage to pull it off.

Why?

Simply the best fanfic I’ve ever read. The romantic relationship between Miles and Gregor is built completely convincingly. It could fit seamlessly in canon, in terms of plot, tone and characterisation. Not to be missed.

Summary: Percy has been living in Prague for years when Snape unexpectedly turns up.

Why?

A lovely post-war story set in, of all places, Prague. The city is as much a character in the story as Percy and Snape, brought to life by the excellent writing.

Why?

Josan has no equal when it comes to create an atmosphere, to tell a story about characters you never gave a second thought to before. Her Percy is recognisably the Percy from canon, but grown up and matured by the war and his experiences. Snape is bitter, but capable of compassion, and more.

A lovely, heart-warming tale :)

Why?

Daniel Craig!James Bond had a lot of on-screen chemistry with Judi Dench!M; it was time someone wrote a fic featuring those two. Astolat captures their voices completely and writes the perfect piece.

Why?

The war is ended, Voldemort is dead, and both Snape and Harry want nothing more than someone to shag. And preferably not a groupie.

I'm reccing this primarily because the formatting is so very original, and you can read the fic both horizontally and vertically (and no, it's not in Chinese *g*). But it's also got it all: fun lines; hot, awkward, imperfect first-time sex; fumbling! prematurely-ejaculating! top! Harry and pushy! bottom! Snape. A typical, delightful Predatrix story, it's one you read when you feel a little down and need something to cheer you up.

Summary: Post Highlander:Endgame melodrama. Some angst. Some sex, you know, the usual.

Why?

hafital never shies from showing all the hurdles two immortals have to overcome to be together, to accept that they are in it for the long haul, and yet that it might not last, because no one can escape the Game. Her writing is beautifully crafted, too.

Summary: When Harry comes of age in the wizarding world, he has to find someone to aid him in the passage to adulthood.

Why?

It's a PWP with just the right amount of plot to make it delightful and memorable. Young wizards and witches are expected to lose their virginity once they turn sixteen, and their first time is a matter of celebration. Except in Harry's case, where it's a matter of public speculation, to the point where everyone and his dog proposition him. As a last resort, Harry turns to the least likely person to be blinded by his fame: Snape.

It was written during the long summer between GoF and OotP, and the characterisations might seem a little off, but ultimately, it doesn't matter. I could say that I'm reccing this story because of its glimpses into Wizarding traditions, or into Harry's psyche, but the truth is that I'm reccing it because it's hot, and it features one of my favourite tropes: an older man patiently teaching a younger one the ropes of lovemaking.

It's a fabulous story, one I've read and reread often.

Why?

One of the Snarry classics. The pace is lovely and slow, and there's never a moment when you say, "Wait, Harry/Snape would never act like this!" A wonderful read, and re-read.

Why?

Because it's bloody hot. That's the main reason. I don't think I've read a fic where a sub's reluctance to submit and the way he eventually relinquish all his control -- and loves it! -- is so well written.

It's absolutely hilarious, featuring a highly anal-retentive Ianto and a slightly clueless but still hot Jack.

Why?

A perfect take on both Jack and Ianto. Neither would let the Lisa matter go as easily as the show might want us to believe, and here's one possibility of what might have happened. Shower sex is hot, too.
