Another reason why my drowning-in-RL infrequent fandom time is killing me: I didn't even catch this post on my flist. I am that behind. *sad eyes*
I also love the colors, and how the juxtaposition of images calls up so many meanings. Snape and Allie both older, suggesting Harry and Jimmy's possible future. Allie looking sad but baby Jimmy looking blissfully innocent and tranquil, in contrast to what I see as Snape looking focused, calm and very wise but Harry looking a little worried. Even Snape's hands, I think, show more relaxation, less need to *clutch* in worry, than Harry's do. This makes me imagine that the color vs monochrome contrast is suggesting that Harry will come to accept and enjoy his fatherhood as Snape now does.
I find the contrast in scale between the adults and kids intriguing - the children being at a much smaller scale (no artist, so I won't hazard a guess as to how much reduced in comparison to the adults) - but I don't know what that says to me! I just noticed it and was kinda mulling it over.
*thoughtful but flails on meaning*
I'm so not insightful on artwork! I just LOVE it is all - especially yours, especially the Allieverse -Yayy and thank you!!!!!!!!!
