Rating: PG 13, i guess?
Word Count: 297
Challenge: Challenge #1, the poem thing."I, so cold, may once have seen sunlight, once have felt the sun"
Warnings: fluff! i know you'll all hate it, you angsty emo teenage-types.
A/N: i was wearing a plastic tiara and listening to "La Vie Boheme" from the RENT soundtrack when i wrote this. it's really irrelevent, but fascinating.
Harry glanced nervously at his watch, the first tendrils of autumn clawing at his naked nose and ears. He hadn’t seen his boyfriend all summer, and what with Lucius’ fiancé-finding habits, Harry had good reason to worry if his boyfriend was late for the first meeting of the year. Did he get the owl he had sent? Did his family intercept? Where was he? Harry shifted nervously, scuffing his trainers in the fallen leaves and pushing his glasses up his nose, when slender hands with chilly fingers slipped across his eyes.
“Guess who?” a familiar voice breathed in his ear.
“Hmm…” Harry teased, “Who could possibly have hands so cold, a voice so soft and such amazing sex appeal it’s all I can do not to jump him right now?”
Draco laughed out loud and spun his dark haired companion around into a kiss. Harry’s glasses fell, and he pulled back to fumble in the leaves for the small tangle of glass and wire that he depended so much on.
“I have a surprise for you,” the blond whispered.
“And what’s that?” Harry asked, wiping the lenses on his shirttails.
“Look”
Harry slipped his glasses back on to see a sight that startled him into gasping so loudly Draco had to clasp a hand over his mouth and squeeze out an urgent warning of being overheard. Harry gaped at his lover soundlessly.
The object of his astonishment glowed healthily against his starched school shirt. His skin was a warm shade of brown, contrasting nicely with his winter-colored hair.
“Draco?”
“Yes, darling?”
“You have a tan”
“Yes, darling”
“How?”
“Is it so I difficult to believe that I may once have seen sunlight?”
“Erm… yes?”
“Shut up. You know you love it”
“You know me too well…”
