There was a change in Draco Malfoy's demeanor. It was noticeable from one day to the next. On Friday, he'd been his usual snarky self, but on Saturday, he'd been all smiles and charm.
His fellow Slytherins were confused and worried.
"He seemed fine yesterday," Millicent commented, as she observed Draco enter the Great Hall, laughing at something Blaise had said.
"Yes," frowned Pansy. "When I last saw him yesterday evening, he was planning to catch Potter out after curfew, just so he could take points from Gryffindor."
"Even taking a thousand points from Gryffindor wouldn't account for his odd behavior today though," remarked Millicent.
"Why does Draco have that spring in his step?" fussed Pansy.
Harry Potter was walking by at that moment, a spring in his own step. Tossing Pansy a bright smile, he remarked, "It's because Draco said goodbye to his virginity last night!"
