Author’s Note: I was tagged by facecat with the deliciously angsty prompt "Curses, foiled again". The idea for this came the moment I first laid my eyes on the prompt and I finished writing it 20 minutes later. I wanted to say though, I used the prompt with a slightly different meaning from its original one –I hope there isn't any problem with that :) Many thanks to raisinous_fiend for the beta of this fic and her help. Also, it's been a while since I last wrote for the Harry Potter fandom so, any comments and thoughts are really appreciated :D
