For the time being, Severus decided not to point out that on several occasions already, Sappho had not only not held her head up high, but she had even gone so far as to bury her face in his chest or hide it behind her hands. Then again, he was fairly certain that wasn't because she was ashamed to be seen with him. Rather, it was because he had gone out of his way to embarrass her about something or other. Which was wrong of him, he knew, but she turned such a lovely shade of red when she blushed that he had trouble stopping himself. He also decided not to point out that she probably ought not to eat scrambled eggs with a spoon if she wished to be a genteel lady, but again, he decided not to say anything -- for now.
"Thank you, for all of that," he said quietly, giving her a small smile. After a moment, he decided to share something with her that he'd never really told anyone before -- not even Lily: the 'title' he had invented for himself. "You know ... I am half a Prince."
