Welcome to Love at First Sip!
As guests arrive they'll all be asked to check in and find their name badges. They show their name and what they're interested in, be it friends or more and what beyond that, as noted with the hearts.
The cafe will be open and coffee and beverages will be served, Luca has been practicing his latte art and Easton will be sparing everyone from having to drink anything she made. Mingling is allowed and encouraged!
After about half an hour, plenty of time to check in and settle in an orderly fashion Easton (along with help) will guide everyone to their seats upon each round. Each round will be 90 seconds of conversation and merriment after which time the bell will ring and everyone will get up and move to the next table and the time will reset, etc, until all the guests have 'met' everyone else.
Since this is a timed event, please limit your comments below each character to no more then 10, so 20 back and forth. Chat about anything you want, reasonably, no missives! The threads will be locked after 10 replies/20 comments.
At the end of the event guests will be allowed to mingle again after. If your character is interested in something more with another, please comment this post, here. It's screened for privacy, we're doing this so that there is no pressure!! If a match is made the couple will be alerted and given a 'free date' that is a certificate to return to Coffee of Doom for free coffee and a snack! Friendships are encouraged to blossom and spam/customs visited AFTER the event/everyone is commented!

Keep in mind, the comments below are meant to be the interaction of your characters during the speed dating. Keep them in that context (as an in person conversation) and in character. Your character will 'meet' everyone else.

An OOC plot post will go up Wednesday 28 January and run until 1 February so that everyone will have time to comment and participate. All the info about the night will be posted, as well as the name tags that provide the info about each character's preferences, tastefully. It is not strictly a speed 'dating' event, but designed to be more of a social event to get out and meet new people and make potential new lines!
