Charlotte was a little sleepy as she and Eddie made their way back to their room. The party had been a whole lot of fun; it wasn't anything really big, but it was nice to have a few friends over and dress up. She had, per her conversation with Eddie, dressed up as Alice from Alice in Wonderland. Eddie had made quite the mad hatter, and she turned back to him as they reached their bedroom. She was glad for a moment of quiet, with some time just for the two of them, and as the door closed behind them, she stepped closer, wrapping her arms around him in a hug.

"Is it strange to say that I've missed you?" she asked, closing her eyes as her head rest at his shoulder. "I mean- I know I still see you, but we've both been so busy and it's nice for us both to be here and awake at the same time."

Eddie had rather enjoyed his Mad Hatter costume, even if it was garishly-colored. Or maybe because it was garishly colored. Either way, it had been a brilliant party, and he loved being there with Charlotte- he'd missed her company, lately.

"Not at all," he said, an arm around her waist as he held her close. "I'll be glad for time off, after this week." There would be New Years and next season to plan, of course, but those seemed far away right now. "Sorry it's been such madness, love."

"Me too," Charlotte replied. "Maybe we'll spend a couple of days in or something- we could go to the cottage and just stay in and take a mini holiday?" She wasn't sure, but the idea sounded nice. "You know, just before the holidays truly kick in."

She shook her head. "Don't apologize! We've both been working- different hours and everything! There's nothing wrong with that!"

	"Busy, as always. They always are." Charlotte blushed faintly, smiling as he kissed her hair. She pulled back, her hands finding his as she backed up, leading him to the bed, where she sat down on the edge. "But I could probably be convinced to arrange for some time off. 	Eddie took off his hat, setting it over top of one of the lamps on the bedside table. His jacket came off as well, and he tossed it into a laundry basket. "In mind?" 	Charlotte laughed as he set his hat on the lamp, and she leaned down to unlace and pull off her shoes. That done, she scooted back on the bed, laying back against the pillows, which were propped up against the headboard. "It has been! We seem to be getting better known, which is nice." 	He toed off his own shoes and socks, then turned his back to the bed before collapsing back onto it just below Charlotte's feet. "It's brilliant, is what it is," he insisted. Charlotte realized belatedly that she hadn't entirely clarified which 'it' was referring to, and she blushed faintly at her mistake. "I'm very happy here, Eddie. With you and this house and everyone in it. If I didn't have it, I'd still be living alone in my cottage, and that- that wouldn't be any sort of life at all." Charlotte leaned over, kissing him gently. "I meant work."

	His cheeks flushed as Charlotte explained his mistake (or his assumption, rather), but Eddie returned the kiss all the same. "I- oh. Right, of course- I knew that." No, he hadn't, and his red cheeks told the truth of that. He really shouldn't have those sorts of worries anymore- they'd been together for nearly eleven months, after all. "I hadn't quite thought about it, honestly," Eddie admitted. "I'm sure mum and da will have Christmas at their place, if you wanted to come there with me and Morag. And there's Christmas here, with the boys and Bailey, of course! Merlin knows I don't want to disappoint an adorable blonde on Christmas. Her or you," he added, playfully. "And Montrose will have the New Year's party again, I'm sure, though I don't know the theme yet- let's just hope it isn't one that will require I dress in drag again."

"Aye, probably," Eddie agreed. "I remember corsets better than I'd care to, and I wouldn't want to sleep in one." He took a deep breath, as if trying to gather up the energy once more, and then sat up as he exhaled. He undid his bow tie, letting it hang loosely in his collar, and unbuttoned his vest as well- but didn't get much farther than that. Well, he was tired!

	He shifted on the bed as Charlotte joined him, turning toward her to help as she'd asked. Eddie brushed her hair forward over one shoulder, his fingers finding the lacing that ran down her back. 	It was a minute or so before she was able to slide the fabric of her dress down, and Charlotte shifted to pull it off. This left her in a slip and her knickers, and she turned back toward Eddie with a faint smile. "Thank you, love. That feels much better." (Reply to this) (Parent)

	Charlotte smiled, her hands easily unbuttoning the last button. Shifting, she leaned over to kiss him again, letting it linger. Her hands trailed up his torso, fingers light against his skin, before one hand trailed down, fingers hooking just lightly in the waistband of his trousers. 	If Charlotte had expected some sort of dignified or coherent response, Eddie was rather bound to disappoint her- with her hands on him that way, he could think of little else. 	Charlotte certainly wasn't about to complain, and she easily leaned toward him to return his kiss. The hand not at his trousers came up to gently cup his cheek as she shifted to land in his lap, lips parting against his to deepen the kiss. (Reply to this) (Parent)
