Narcissa slid another hanger over, viewing the garment that hung there. She was looking for a very specific shade at the moment; it had really been her motivation for venturing forth from her home, to come shopping this beautiful Sunday afternoon. The blue had to be more of a grey if it were to grace the frame of her handsome husband; a new crisp linen shirt or a cashmere sweater was her goal.
She knew it was a weak excuse; she and Lucius had plenty of clothes, outfits and ensembles, really everything a wizard could want for a weekend retreat to the coast. But she had wanted to see him in that shade of greyish blue that caught the color of his eyes and made him seem more viral and youthful. She knew that he was plagued with work worries; he had veiled comments about retirement that seem to pop out, in waves, and she wondered about his decision for the future. So much of his decisions had such a profound effect upon her life; she wanted to boost his esteem, so that he knew she always thought him younger and strong.
The shop witch hovered behind Narcissa for a moment, "Would you like me to show you those dresses now, Mistress Malfoy?" to which Narcissa waved her hand, not taking her eyes from the rack, "In a moment," she said as she shifted her attention back to her searching. There was something satisfying in completing the hunting herself.
