Me: I wasn't sure what to expect when I clicked on this one and I was treated to a very unexpected tale woven with some lovely writing and an interesting premise. The story takes place during the first war, while Sirius is still his cocksure self out looking for a good time anywhere he can find it. What he finds is as unexpected as the story was to me. Writing the surreal landscape of a drug trip is a tough thing and the author here does a fantastic job using pacing along with some effective writing to really put the reader in Sirius' head as he comes to view both life and his unlikely companion in a new light. A must read if you enjoy this pairing and really, even if they're not your usual cuppa!

Two were on it, but only one survived; the truth is; halfway down the road, Sirius realized that his brakes went out, but he didn't want Severus to Panic. Instead, Sirius told Severus he loved him and felt his embrace one last time, and then Sirius had him wear his helmet so that Severus would make it even though it meant he would die.
