Nate sat and listened intently. He really wanted to understand what Garan was going on about, because he didn't want to be confused anymore. He wanted to know where they stood. Wait a minute, what did he just say?
"What? See, this is why we need to talk more," Nate let out a nervous laugh. "Or I do, anyways," he said, realizing that was probably a more accurate response. Nate just really, really didn't like talking about his own emotions.
"You're not some random snog, Garan. I care about you. I thought I made that pretty obvious when I sat in a chair for twelve hours waiting for you to wake up," he said, and meant it. Nate wouldn't have done that for just a friend. "And it's also the reason I'm nervous as fuck to meet your parents, if that's even going to happen now. I'm sorry I don't show it as often as I should, but I do like you. A lot," he finished, and took a deep breath.
So... yep. Nate was pretty much freaking out now. He did not like leaving himself so vulnerable, and he would like if Garan would say something VERY SOON.
