Who: Lachlan Urquhart and Samantha Capper When: Sunday, February 22nd, Late Afternoon Where: Starting outside the Hufflepuff Common Room and then off into the great wide expanse of the grounds. What: Second date. Rating: TBD Status: Incomplete
Given the weird occurrences currently going on around him (Beau finding a girl, Nate disappearing, Alex and Lucien disappearing at random times), Lachlan figured now was as good a time as any to have personal drama arise. The less people who witnessed it, the better. The issue with Madison Chambers was embarrassing because it proved he couldn't control his women. What kind of a man was he? Ugh. Part of Lachlan was convinced that he had simply misjudged her to be someone mature enough to handle their kind of arrangement without complications. Clearly, he had been wrong on that front. Very, very wrong. The other part of him worried that it wasn't just her.
That's where the desire to court Samantha Capper came in. Granted, he'd already asked her on an official date, but assuming everything was completely unsalvageable with Chambers, he might as well make some modifications. And, yes, they'd been outed by bloody Millicent Bulstrode, but that wasn't Samantha's fault. In fact, she'd responded with an incredible amount of poise in Lachlan's opinion. So perhaps it was worth it to test this further, just to see where it would go.
It was with a hopeful confidence that Lachlan approached the Hufflepuff area at the agreed to meeting time. He was a few minutes early, actually, which meant that he'd be sitting outside by himself for a while, but that gave the impression of a proper gentleman, right? Of course right. Seeing no one else in the hall, Lachlan settled himself on the floor and smiled up at the portrait, making idle conversation until the door swung open.
