"It doesn't have to be violent, negative, messages in complete and total retaliation," Kevin said, speaking up after listening. He actually quite liked the idea, and had been thinking of doing something similar himself when Anthony was hurt. "Just.. messages," he said. "Of hope, encouragement. But with an underlying voice that we're not afraid. They can't scare us out of school, they can't take away our right to be here, to do magic, to exist in this world." He glanced at Anthony, and again became inspired.
"We can't just sit here and have secret meetings, talking about how crummy everything has gotten. We know that already. I think it's great that we're all here, and we have a purpose. But think about all the things we can do by sending out a voice. Students who are walking through the halls, terrified they might be the next target can see that they're not alone. Even if they don't want to fight, they might feel better knowing someone is willing to fight for them."
Kevin bit his lip, nodding to himself in confidence of the words he'd just spoken. "I volunteer, if we go through with this." He was an artist, after all.
