"And you'll want to buy half the store," she murmured good-naturedly. But of course, if it was going to light up her eyes like that, she'd take her to Ikea or anywhere else she wanted to go. She loved seeing the Doctor happy. Even if it was over something as simple as agreeing to go with her to pick out a sofa.
River, being absolutely shameless, flashed the approaching companion a brilliant smile as she offered her hand in greeting. "River Song. And which one might you be?" She let her hand linger in his a bit longer than necessary before leaning back again, still smiling. "I'm guessing Graham."
He nodded, "That's right."
Graham seemed to finally pick up on the silence in the rest of the room, then, and he glanced around at the others suddenly wondering what it was he was missing.
River inclined her head toward the Doctor. "I'm her wife."
It was such a simple statement, but it always seemed to get quite the reaction, except for Yaz, who had already gotten that particular shock.
She shrugged apologetically. "I know, she never mentions." And so she knew that didn't upset her, not really, she glanced at her wife, adding, "It's complicated."
