"And I thought you acted young when you were wearing the bowtie," she murmured, eyes glittering with mirth. It was sweet, really, that she still let herself get so attached. Another one of the many things River had always loved about her. Because it didn't matter how many times she got hurt, how many people she lost, she still cared so much.
So close now she was nearly touching her, River gave her wife a careful once over, letting her gaze linger without an ounce of shame. "Oh, I could have just as easily married you in this body, Sweetie." She looked back up to meet her eyes. "I still might."
She leaned back as the Doctor moved away, and followed her out of the TARDIS. As they stood side by side, she reached for the Doctor's hand, asking, "Are you sure?"
Of course, she'd love to meet the Doctor's companions, and she'd never minded a few questions; but she was a part of the Doctor's past and the fam was her present. She didn't always like the two to mix.
