"Yes. That's what I call 'em no. Companions. Fam! I like it, has a nice ring to it, don't ya think?" She was beaming when she said it, clearly having adopted more people and gotten close to them this time around. Didn't she always get too close to them? She'd gotten too close to the Ponds...and, well, River knew how that had gone.
"Of course! They'll love you. They'll probably have questions." So many questions. They still found it hard to believe she was once a male. This could be fun.
"Uh, no." She smiled and looked at River, seeing her closer, her eyes sparkling with that familiar gleam. "They barely believe I used to be a man. Not sure what they'll think, actually. A bit exciting, though, don't you think?"
She pushed a button and the TARDIS began to do what it always did. It travelled to where the Doctor needed to be- Northern England, where she'd left her fam for this little adventure. Time to pick them up!
"C'mon!" She grinned, stepping to the door and right into the fresh, cool English morning. The sky was perfectly overcast and the smell of the sea was near. She'd grown fond of this place, staring up at the apartment building she had dropped them off at last time.
