For a while, now, the Doctor had been traveling with her 'fam'. Well, it didn't seem like all that long to the Doctor. Time passed a bit differently for her than it often did for her companions. For them, it had been over two years. It was a flash in the pan for the infamous traveler, but with so much new information everything felt....different now.
She'd left them behind, explaining she'd be back (as usual) before going off on a quest of her own. It was time to uncover another hard truth. To learn more about what had created her and where she'd come from.
Which had led her here...well, Xelia 47. It was a funny little planet, where half the surface was eternal night, and the other half was regulated by a large atmospheric shield built by an ancient civilization. The day and night cycle and atmospheric programming still worked on the surface despite the civilization dying off long ago. It was really a wonder to behold.
Sad she was the only one to explore it. So she thought.
The Doctor had been staring up at the sky, squinting against the simulated sun, a device in her hand helping her get some readings (something she'd rigged up moments before), and then...that voice. She knew that voice. Why did she know that voice?
Turning, the Doctor just stared as her eyes readjusted. How...? "River??" Impossible. Wasn't it? Unless this was another part of River's timeline. Probably safer to assume that. "You're not supposed to be here."
