Ah, yes, how to explain she didn't exactly know how, that she didn't remember? Her memories of the days immediately following her return to the living were fragmented and not entirely pleasant. River didn't especially want to go digging through them yet.
Clearly, it hadn't been the Doctor's doing, not with the way she was looking at her now and that tone of voice. Of course, she'd known that already, but perhaps some part of her had still hoped she was wrong. It didn't matter, she told herself, even if she knew it was a lie. She was out of The Library and alive, and all she wanted was to be here now with her wife.
She was saved from having to answer when the ground shuddered under their feet, and she frowned curiously at the beeping device in the Doctor's hand. "What's happening? Doctor?"
Then they were off and it was so much like it always had been, another adventure. She shook her head, glancing briefly behind them, "I was looking for you. Who else would I bring?"
